Join us for an elegant evening of sophistication and philanthropy as we gather to raise funds for Brighton Toy and Model Museum's Trafalgar Street Regeneration Project. In partnership with BITE Sussex, this exclusive event will feature expertly crafted cocktails from three of Brighton’s premier cocktail bars – Blossoms, Gungho!, and Bohemia. These talented mixologists will showcase premium spirits from Aluna Coconut Rum, Arbikie Highland Estate, and Dedbest Distillery, paired perfectly with mouth-watering Indian street food canapés from Easy Tiger.
As you sip on bespoke cocktails and savour delicious canapés, take the opportunity to explore the museum’s world-class collection of heritage toys and models. With over 12,000 exhibits, Brighton Toy and Model Museum is a hidden gem, and your participation will help bring light and life to the top of Trafalgar Street, transforming it into a vibrant gateway to the city from the station.
The Regeneration Project is a vital initiative that will not only enhance the museum’s visibility but also support the independent traders in North Laine, making this a cause worth celebrating.

October 12, 2024 10:30 am - 5:00 pm
Brighton Toy and Model Museum, 52-55 Trafalgar St, Brighton and Hove, Brighton BN1 4EB, UK
Event Description:
Step into the golden era of steam locomotives at Brighton Toy Museum's special Train Running Day on October 12th! Inspired by the Bluebell Railway's launch of Britain's newest steam locomotive, the meticulously crafted LBSCR Marsh Atlantic No 32424 Beachy Head, we are thrilled to bring you an unforgettable event themed around the 'Age of the Atlantic.'
The Beachy Head locomotive is a remarkable recreation of the original No 32424, which last steamed in 1958. This labour of love has spanned over two decades, brought to life by dedicated volunteers and enthusiasts at Sheffield Park.
Join us for a day of nostalgia and exploration as Museum Founder and Director, Chris Littledale, showcases some of his favorite Atlantic trains on our exquisite 0-gauge layout. With the protective screens removed, you’ll have the rare opportunity to witness the museum's collection in all its glory, as our treasured locomotives come to life before your eyes.
The museum doors open at 10:30 AM, and your ticket grants you access for the entire day. Take your time to explore, enjoy, and immerse yourself in the magic of locomotive history.
