Lifting Bridge, Minic Ships 846

Description

The bridge set consists of four diecast pieces: two identical cream-coloured "access road" pieces, and two identical silver-painted lift bridge arms.

The arms each sit on the pair of pylons at the end of a road piece. It's a measure of how well thought-out the Minic Ships range was that the bridge arm counterweights actually do their job: Each arm piece has little nubbins below the hinge point that allow the arm to rest open or closed, the design of which must have been so precise as to need the thickness of the paint to be taken into account!

The "bridge" ends of the road sections also end in a concave arc, so that the same pieces can be used as part of the "rotating" bridge set
