"France, Romance and History"

" Seen through the days of train travel and the charming toys that reflected it. Paris indeed was the exciting city from which ran such wonderful trains as the “Train Bleu” from the Gare de Lyon to the French Riviera, or the “Flèche d’Or” – “Golden Arrow” that connected France to England leaving the wonderful Gare du Nord, including a channel crossing and so to London Victoria, a stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace.
The atmospheric tinplate “Flèche d’Or” train sets from JdeP and Série Hornby reflect that – Nord, Wagons Lits, Pullman – era so well, as indeed do the wonderful “0” scale models of PLM, ETAT and Nord locomotives, beautifully hand-built by such high-quality names as Marescot and Fournereau with their accompanying passenger cars. Brighton, just across La Manche, is host to a unique range of these and other beautiful toys and models from our closest European neighbour.
Dieppe–Newhaven and you are here! "
