"Making History Fun" Launch

On the 9th October, "Making History Fun 2006-2007" was launched by the Mayor, Councillor David Smith. It was his first visit to the Museum and he was delighted by the Museum and its superb collection.

The Making History Fun campaign is a year-long series of events and exhibitions. The campaign has been launched by Brighton Toy and Model Museum in association with History Matters - Pass it On (www.historymatters.org.uk) and aims to make history more accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds.

The programme includes musical evenings, special exhibitions, a Quiz night, performances (including An Audience with Rudyard Kipling by Geoff Hutchinson), and a special Smugglers' event. More information can be found in the "Making History Fun" section of the Museum website.

Tony Robinson and "Making History Fun"

The Brighton Toy and Model Museum is honoured to have Tony Robinson as the patron of our "Making History Fun" campaign.

We have published our own interview with him on the Museum website, which can be found at www.brightontoymuseum.co.uk/mhf.htm .

The interview features questions relating to toys, the Time Team and history.

We look forward to welcoming Tony Robinson at the Museum later in the year.
