In 2006, the museum continued its drive to meet the criteria for accredited status. A second SEWS grant, of £1,900, paid for a governance audit and report, and a £4,900 grant from the Association of Independent Museums (AIM) paid for consultancy work to produce a new business plan for the museum.
October saw the launch of the Making History Fun initiative, with a yearsworth of events.
