A scratchbuilt model of a dark red Brighton Corporation Tramways Class B open-topped tram, "E" No.8 "To and From Palace Pier" (1924-1939).
The tram is a rather elegant round-ended affair with cagework enclosing the two end-stairwells leading to the upper deck. Stylistically, the stairwells and caging are perhaps reminiscent of the work seen in large Victorian greenhouses (!).
The model is part of a set made by Ken Allbon between 2010 and 2012.
