" This model represents a red deer standing on its four slim legs that is brown and its muzzle that is black. It has long brown horns, they are like a masterpiece, and they are represented close to the real ones. "

1940 catalogue description

" The Red Deer is perhaps the most harmless of all wild animals, so much so that it is allowed to run loose in public parks and open spaces. Is is, however, of a shy and retiring nature and usually looks with some doubt on the approach of human beings. "
