1949

A post-war Juneero Engineer's Set, packaged in a large green metal ammunition Box with one internal shelf.

The set includes the standard Juneero tools, and a range of materials and components, including gears, rubber tyres, plastic and metal sheet, and train wheels.

Provenance

The set was owned and demonstrated by toy salesman James Broad, and donated to be Museum in 2023 by his daughter, Christine Heels.

My father was a toy salesman in Central London from when he left the army in 1946 till 1978 when he passed away. During that time he demonstrated toys in Hamleys, Selfridges and other London stores.

He went to all the Toy Shows in Brighton and Birmingham. He also demonstrated Juneero for a short time and I have inherited a metal box of Juneero tools and metal. It is the Engineers set. I would like to donate it to your museum.
