A scratchbuilt model of a blue-and-white open-topped open-stairwell Hove Corporation Cedes Stoll-Dodson trolleybus with black overhead contact arm, gold lining and brown undergear and wheels. Lettering along the side of the upper deck reads: CEDES "GEARLESS" TRACKLESS TROLLEY SYSTEM".
The model is part of a set made by Ken Allbon between 2010 and 2012.
The original trolleybus
This model represents the only trolleybus that ever ran on Hove's streets, a Cedes-Stoll vehicle with a Dodson body. The bus was used for a trial in 1914 (complete with all the required overhead wiring), but the trial was was not considered successful, and the trolleybus was sold on to Keighley.
