A large set of painted German "Nuremberg scale" (~3cm) flat lead "zoo" figures, probably late C19th or early C20th.

Identification

The rather tentative identification of these figures as being by Heinrichsen of Nuremburg is based on their having belonged to the same owner as the Heinrichsen "Battle of Murat" set. However, although Heinrichsen was probably the major producer of these sorts of figures, there were a large number of other makers in Germany, producing similar material.

Display

The figures are distributed across a well-lit glass shelf in Arch Four.
