Sawyer Inc. and Viewmaster had three main categories of projector:

"Stereo" View-Master projectors

The Stereo-Matic 500 was a double-barrelled stereo projector capable of projecting both stereo versions of an image from a View-Master disc onto a screen, with different polarising filters fitted to each projecting lens, so that a group of people wearing special polaroid glasses could watch and get the 3D effect.

"Mono" View-Master projectors

More conventional projectors that simply showed a standard 2D image, but could take View-Master discs and project one side of the stereo image pair.

Normal film projectors

While it might seem odd nowadays to think of View-Master selling normal "non-View-Master" projectors, at one point Sawyer Inc is supposed to have been the #2 supplier of slide projectors in the US.
