4. Birdman Puppet

The Birdman Puppet was designed as a toy to inspire creativity and 'world building' and own-story creation.

Whilst playing with it, the world around the toy and the person's mind open to all possibilities of imagination and observation. The idea is inspired by Lego's Bionicles, Action Man, Barbie and other poseable figures.

An important aspect of the design, in order to provide an open-ended starting point for imagination, is in the minimalism of its outward expression. Like the toys from Waldorf Steiner - no designated emotion or strong tone allows the person playing with them to add their own changeable feelings and thoughts - It is interesting that playing with such a doll/toy figure that does not give the answers is a way for a person to learn about themselves, explore the figure's imaginary life, because it can act as an extension of themselves. This toy therefore allows free and inspiring infinite play.
