Card No. 11: The DE HAVILLAND "DRAGON-SIX" (Great Britain)

The D.H. 89 or "Dragon-Six" is a fast, economical light air liner with a top speed of 165 mph. Seating can be arranged for any number of passengers between four and ten. On regular airline work six or eight passengers are carried, but. where the machine is used as a taxi particularly comfortable seating is generally arranged for four. Two engines in the wings provide sufficient power to guard against forced landings from engine trouble, and as the petrol is carried outside the fuselage, smoking is permissible in the cabin.
