A beautiful lithographed clockwork tinplate 00-gauge Mettoy Railways Combination Passenger Train Set, made by Mettoy.
The set includes a red 0-4-0 British Railways steam locomotive and tender (runnning number 490), two carriages, two standard wagons, a Blue Circle Portland Cement wagon, a Joytown station and signal box, a two-piece railway tunnel, and a quantity of lithographed tinplate track.
It was donated to the museum in December 2022.
