2001 saw the museum tentatively open its doors once again after three years, after issues with water damage and the installation of protective cladding inside the arch vaults.

Brighton rebranding

Assuming that its location was now more permanent after the landlord's investment in anti-seepage measures, the museum used the reopening to rebrand itself more specifically to its Brighton location, as Brighton Toy and Model Museum, and put up the first "Brighton Toy and Model Museum" website, designed by Jenny Ridland.
