British Airways Ltd.

In 1935 three companies were amalgamated and formed British Airways, Ltd. There were then twenty-two air transport companies operating in and from the United Kingdom and the number of services was nearly double that of the previous year. The regular operation of such services during bad weather — especially when fog reduces visibility — must depend largely upon the use of instruments and on good ground organization. In both these essentials considerable progress has been made and greater regularity has resulted.
