Card No. 29  : The AERONCA MONOPLANE (U.S.A.)

The Aeronca can be justly claimed as the "motorcycle of the air." It is one of the lightest sports aeroplanes in production, and by reason of the simplicity of its design and the economy of its tiny two-stroke engine, it enables flying and flying instruction to be done at a relatively low cost. The cockpit seats two side by side. It has a large windscreen in front and the wing above is transparent, thus giving the pilot the maximum visibility. The Aeronca has a top speed of about 93 m.p.h., and can be fitted with floats for use as a seaplane.
