Compatibility

The piece has sockets and prongs allowing it to be used directly with the matching signal Distributor Plate, 471.

Although these two items could technically be used with accessories for any gauge of model railway, Märklin tended to list them in the 00-gauge accessories section of their catalogues, since their comparatively small size would be most useful on smaller layouts, where space was at a premium.
