An olive-green Hornby Gauge 0 Timber Wagon No.2, dating from the early 1920s.

The long eight-wheeler "No.2" wagon has olive-green base, buffers and couplings and five olive-green timber guides per side.

This colour scheme appears in the first Hornby Book of Trains (1925) with railway company markings, but this example is older than 1925, because it dates back to before Meccano Ltd. started putting authentic railway company markings on their rolling stock - these earlier examples instead put the name of the piece helpfully on the side in white block capitals (in this case "No.2 TIMBER WAGON").
