The Circus (display)

A printed tinplate Big Top circus tent, made by Marx in the 1950's.

The tent disassembles: it's open at one side to reveal the circus "ring", and has rows of watching audience faces printed onto the interior. As well as screenprinted flags and bunting, the circus tent has to flags fitted ot the top. Large lettering on the top of the closed side of the tent proclaims "The Big Top CIRCUS", and on the open side reads just "The Big Top"

Most of the accompanying hollowcast circus animals in the display are from the "Britains Circus" sets.
