A boxed Meccano "Star Striker" spaceship kit, from 1980/81.
The box shows the finished model against a black starfield, and has the reference number 07802 on the side (although the model can be found on online databases as AP.7802).
It's a small model (the box says 203mm), that consists mainly of a long nosecone, and a red plastic pilot area flanked by a couple of fins, followed by a large red rocket engine. The box also says "with swing wings".
Meccano's Star Striker set was one of a range of mostly spaceship-themed action packs released in 1980/81 as the company tried to capitalise on the market for "fighter spaceship" toys that erupted after the release of "Star Wars" in 1979.
