A 1930s bright red Hornby Series "Royal Daylight" Oil Tank Wagon, as illustrated in the 1937 Hornby Book of Trains.
Description
The wagon has red tank, base, buffers and "Type 3 " trunions, and bare metal couplings.
It's lettered ROYAL DAYLIGHT in black-outlined, black-shadowed squarish block sans serif capitals, and its "Hornby Series" sticker is just black on gold, without red. The top valve detail is embossed.
