This exhibit was on display between November 2012 and early 2013

A blue-with-silver stripes 00-gauge Coronation Scot Third-Class "Brake" coach, number 5792, made by Hornby (model R.423), probably in the 1980s.

The coach is blue with a pale grey ribbed roof, with white paintwork detail, and silver stripes and silver inner windowframe detail, and a "3" painted on the passenger-end side-doors. It has a partial white strip below the roofline with "THE CORONATION SCOT" in block capitals.

Wheels are black plastic with white-painted "Coronation Scot" rims. The coach crest is two-colour (yellow centre, silver rim detail, later versions added red). There's a corridor running the length of the passenger section, and the interior details and corridor wall are white.
