A large steam-powered and radio-controlled model of the Tribal-class WW2 destroyer, "HMS Cossack", grey, markings L03, two funnels, built by Gordon Bowd.

The Ship

The real HMS Cossack was launched in 1937 and completed in 1938. It saw first action in 1940, and was one of the ships that engaged the Bismarck on 26 May 1941, the day before the German ship was finally sunk.

Cossack itself sank in bad weather on 27 October 1941, while being towed after receiving battle damage.
