The Dinky Toys Collectors’ Association (abbreviated DTCA) is a group of enthusiasts who are interested in and collect Dinky Toys and Meccano products. The Association started in England but now has a worldwide membership.

History of the DTCA

The DTCA was established in 2003 to promote interest in Dinky Toys and bring together collectors of these iconic models from around the world.

Anniversaries

Dinky Toys 75 Years

The DTCA organised one of the largest and most comprehensive exhibitions to celebrate 75 years of Dinky Toys at the Derby Silk Museum in 2009. They also produced three special models for the event.

Tenth Anniversary of the DTCA

This will be celebrated in 2013. The DTCA has issued a souvenir replica Dinky Toys bus for its members.

Quarterly Journal

The Journal is published quarterly in January, April, July and October. It is in full colour and has informative articles on all aspects of collecting Dinky Toys.

DTCA Website

The website at dtcawebsite.org provides an introduction to the DTCA. It has an archive for members and a forum page for discussions about Dinky Toys. Members can access their own Membership Section and there is a page for joining the DTCA.

AGM 22 June 2013

This will be held in Derby this year and after the formal business members provide a number of displays of Dinky Toys. Later there is an informal dinner for those attending.

Public appearances

Table at the Windsor Toy Fair

This event is in January, June and September each year. Members provide a display at this Toy Fair and promote the Association.

Display at the Whitewebs Museum of Transport in North London

There are DTCA displays at this annual show held in June.

Members attend Sandown Toy Fairs four times a year

Many members attend this huge Toy Fair and can be found at a number of tables selling Dinky Toys. Members attend other Toy Fairs throughout the country whenever possible including the Reading Vintage Shows in March and October.
