Although the Primus Engineering wooden parts now look slightly clunky and WW1-era, they did add authenticity to certain types of models. While using Primus parts to build a model house would not be terribly cost-effective (unless you were planning on taking it apart again), the wooden walls and sections with doorways and windows were great for adding, say, a small wooden cab to a crane, or wooden side panels to open railway trucks.
