Meccano Ltd. produced a range of publications, characterised by a large amount of quality artwork.

As well as the long-running Meccano Magazine, the company's output also included:

  • The Meccano Book of Engineering
  • The Hornby Book of Trains
  • The Book of Hornby Trains and Meccano Products
  • The Meccano Book of New Models
  • The Meccano Book of Prize Models

, as well as other Meccano-specific booklets and instruction sheets (notably Meccano Standard Mechanisms, and How To Use Meccano Parts).

At one point it seemed that the company was about to embark on a series of conventional hardback bookshelf books, the Meccano Library, but only one of this series, No.1, Famous Trains, seems to have appeared.
