In the light of the current situation regarding the COVID-19 virus, the museum, in accordance with Government advice and actions taken by Brighton’s other museums, is closing to the public from today (18 March 2020), as a precautionary measure to protect the health of staff and visitors.
This temporary closure also affects all museum events, school visits and artist performances until further notice.
We are grateful for your continuing support in this time of crisis, and very much look forward to seeing you again once things return to normal.
Be good to each other,
Brighton Toy and Model Museum
Where practical, our employees are now working from home. This allows the remaining staff to work semi-isolated, with one workroom for each person.
While we are closed to the public, the museum will be taking the opportunity to work on projects that up until now have been difficult to do during normal opening hours. This includes a series of exciting upgrades to some of our infrastructure and displays, so that when we reopen, we will be able to “re-launch” with a number of important new displays and exhibits.
