A 1:1200 model of the passenger ship PS Cardiff Queen paddle-steamer, part of the Tri-Ang Minic range produced between 1959 and 1964.

The paddle steamer Cardiff Queen was owned by P & A Campbell's "White Funnel" Fleet based in the Bristol Channel which dominated coastal cruising, excursions and ferry operations in this area from the late 1880s through to the late 1960s. She was the last of her class to be built.
Tri-ang Minic produced models of three paddle steamers the Britannia, the Bristol Queen, and the Cardiff Queen all of which are identical except for the name and model number cast on the underside. They were produced with red, yellow or blue funnels which were shaped metal pins with a coloured sleeve that were inserted in a hole in the hull casting. The model has a black and white body and red and black funnels.
PS Britannia's period of operation was 1947-1968.
