Märklin produced a prototype model of the futuristically streamlined Henschel/Wegman steam train that ran from 1936-1939, but with the outbreak of hostilities in 1939, the model never went into production.

This is an exact model of the Märklin 1939 prototype, made by Meistercraft in the 1990's.

The silver model still looks startlingly modern, even today.
