Emergency Ward 10, tinplate General Hospital (Mettoy).
A three-level printed red and yellow tin hospital sold by Mettoy as a commercial spinoff of the "Emergency Ward 10" ATV television series (1957-1967). The toy hospital has a baseplate with kerb, ground and first floors, and a flat green roof with lift access, via a small lift building on the roof fitted with a top winding-handle to raise and lower the lift.
Emergency Ward 10 was Britain's first television soap opera, and was also the first British tv series to show two episodes per week.
The toy was made in the early 1960's.
