A circus display based on the lead figures produced by William Britain, and supplemented with pieces from a number of other manufacturers.

These toys don't just record the types of circus acts that were popular at the time, and try to capture the mood and ambience of circus life, they also give us a reference for the colours used in contemporary circus costumes and signwork that isn't always available from other sources.
