As well as selling entrance tickets, the museum shop sells new and used books, postcards, toys and models.

The shop isn't able to take "plastic" card payments, and can only accept payments in cash. However, there is a cash dispenser upstairs in Brighton Station.

Departments

  • Collector's Market (Not for children! Old toys, model cars, ships and railway items accessories and components from the 1920s-1960s)
  • Pocket-money toys (modern toys costing a few pounds, mostly displayed on the Toy Carousel)
  • Second-hand books (mostly on modelling railways, and model railways, but also some other subjects such as local history)
  • New books (mostly Shire Library, who do a great range of titles on heritage subjects)
  • Postcards (original antique postcards, period reproductions (Robert Opie classic advertising), and new postcards)
  • Miscellaneous (Brighton Belle fundraising mugs, and other items)
