A "Gannet" Hornby Speedboat No.3 with white deck and blue hull, made by Meccano Ltd., Liverpool, in around 1935, and donated to the museum in 2017 by the Batting family.

The No.3 Speedboat was made available finished in three different colour schemes, as Condor, Curlew and Gannet.

HORNBY SPEED BOAT NO.3. Price 12/6

Hornby Speed Boat No.3 is a great favourite with boys. It will travel over 500 feet on one winding. Available with three different names and in three different colour combinations, as follows:– "CONDOR" (red and cream), "GANNET" (blue and white), "CURLEW" (green and ivory).

Dimensions: Length 16 1/2 in. Beam 3 1/2 in.
