A grey Hornby Series G.P.V. GW Gunpowder Van . The van is a standard 1930s-style No.1 Van with sliding side-door, grey sides and buffers, a white roof, and a black Type 3 base, wheels and couplings.
The van is marked with a large red cross on the sliding door (which runs corner-to-corner on the inset door panel) "G.P.V." in black-outlined red letters on the top left of the van side, and "G W" in gold letters with a red drop-shadow and black outline, on the side panels flanking the central side-door.
The "GW GPV van" also sometimes shows up in black rather than grey.
