As well as Meccano and other general-purpose construction sets, manufacturers also produced sets dedicated to the construction of model buildings and architecture.

Different manufacturers came up with an ingenious range of different ways that architectural components could be stacked, clipped, glued, or slotted together to make model buildings.

The Museum has two cabinets put aside to show a representative selection of some of these sets and kits.

Brighton Toy and Model Museum is a World-class repository and display environment for early toys and models situated under Brighton Railway Station, on England's South Coast.

The museum is a Registered Charity (1001560), and depends on volunteers, ticket sales, donations and bequests.
