Main 2017 updates

  • January – Metal construction toys cabinet overhaul with many new exhibits
  • February – New Collector's Market display cabinet
  • March – 1/4-scale Traction Engine moved to a plinth
  • April – New Box Bridge display area
  • May – Reorganisation and upgrade of the Play Kitchen display
  • June – Appearance of 5" gauge locomotive on bridge display
  • July – Hasting Funicular Railway model now pushbutton controlled
  • August – museum fridge magnets, pens and pencils now available in museum shop
  • September – Upgrades for the "Matchbox" display - more models, some upgrades
  • October – New larger lead figures cabinet replaces "Models of Yesteryear" display
  • November – Wooden construction toys, tablet internet restored
  • December – Meccano No.10 set displayed in a new area beneath the existing Meccano cabinet
