Glamour of Brighton

A scratchbuilt model of a red and white open-topped Brighton Corporation Tramways double-decker Palace Pier service "Class F" tram No.52, for Dyke Road. The tram has an enclosed stairwell and distinctive angled corners.

The model is part of a set made by Ken Allbon between 2010 and 2012.

Period side advertising is for The Brangwyn Estate (H.W. Lee, Builder), and corner advertising includes Hammerton Oatmeal Stout, Ogdens Cream Cakes, and Simonds Ale and Stout.

Tram 52

Tram No.52 was one of the last few Brighton trams to go into service, and the very last one, its sibling No.53, is now the last survivor. The Brighton Tram 53 Society hopes to raise funds to restore it.
