A green and black Austin Taxi (Dinky Toys 36g) with a silver "taxi" sign above the front window. At the front of the narrow hood is a silver radiator, and a steering wheel and seat are inside the cab, designed for use with the driver included in the set (not displayed).
The piece was manufactured between 1937-1950.
The Austin Low Loader was the second taxi Austin produced after a successful entry to the market, which improved pricing and reliability on its 1934 release (making things even more difficult for competitors).
