" This model is a big black bison from America. It has a luminous red eyes and it moves its tail angrily. "

1940 catalogue description

" This animal is frequently misnamed the Buffalo. As the name implies, it is a native of North America, where it roams in large herds, although during the last fifty or sixty years its numbers have been greatly reduced. The females of these animals display great courage in defending their young and seldom lose them except at the cost of their own lives. "
